Two, Two, Two Rugs in One!!!

I am in the middle of revamping my Livingroom with a new color scheme, which is not easy, since I had the other one for 10 years.  I have only, so far, purchased my curtains,

some pillows on CLEARANCE at Target

and now my rug...I have wanted a neutral rug and of course I would preffer the original rug I picked out at Home Goods months ago. It was 400.00, and somehow I could not justify spending that much on a rug that would have limited me to a specific color scheme.

So I was at Wally World the other day and noticed thier shaggy rugs, but UGGGH! they did'nt have an 8x10 only a 5x8, and I really wanted this color and haven't seen it anywhere else.  So, after talking my husband into it, we purchased 2  rugs and used some good ole' duct tape to keep the 2 together and....

BAMMMM! Here ya GEAUX!!! More of the Livingroom reveal coming ASAP!

  36. Wow! What a great job! I cannot see the seam at all. Maybe that is what I will have to do because I am having a difficult time finding a rug the correct size for my living room.

  38. Great idea!! I need a large rug for my living room and a long narrow runner for my hall, but do not want to spend tons of money on them, what with 2 kids, 2 cats and a dog. This is just what I am looking for. Thanks for sharing your great idea.
