And with all the burlap going around Blogland I thought it would make a great table runner and best of all I knew I would NOT have to SEW it!
I had to buy 2 and half yards to fit my table length perfectly which cost me less than 7$ and I have half of it left over!
My table is black so while getting the material at HL I found these cute iron ons that match!
I just cut straight up the middle and started pulling the strings out the sides and bottom to give it a fringed edge, WARNING! This is messy!
And another reason I chose the burlap...it matched my rug and wall color! (insert tiny handclap)Yay me!
Now onto the window treatments...which I am pretty sure won't be Burlap but you never know. I've seen some really cute ones out there!
And just FYI I found these cuties to hang on my wall behind the table at TJ's!
I absolutely love it! Especially the monogram! Great job!!
ReplyDeleteScore! I love TJ Maxx! Cute table runner. I LOVE me some burlap!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving it!!! Iron on's and burlap? Who knew that could be SO elegant together! =0) Burlap is all the rave these days. I'm going to be doing a burlap project soon...I hope. A cheap one..love those!! Your dining room looks very comfortable and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am SO MUCH giving this the two thumbs up! I love the look of it, especially with the "H" added. The fact that it's a no sew project, well... that just puts it over the top. It looks really good!
ReplyDeleteI love using burlap and did so for my Christmas tablescapes as well as my daughter's wedding table last October. Your dining room is so attactive in the color scheme your doing- keep it up it looks fantastic!

ReplyDeleteGreat job on the burlap.. very cute.
That is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteReally great project! I have the burlap and now I just have to get busy! Thanks for the inspiration. Your runner turned out great!
ReplyDeleteThe black iron ons make it perfect! Love it! Suggestion for your curtains...drop cloths. They come in a natural tone & there is a huge amount of fabric in them for cheap! Just fyi, if you decide to go with the drop cloth idea, look for ones that don't have seams in the middle, if you can find them.
ReplyDeleteVery cool runner ~ Love the monogram and the fact that It didn't require sewing! Thanks for sharing, Monica
ReplyDeleteI love the burlap runner. I just purchased some burlap for a project. I was surprised at how many colors or shades it comes in.
ReplyDeleteYour burlap runner looks amazing! And with that monogram on it, it looks very expensive. I was looking at two at an etsy shop today and they cost $60 and $70 and they were similar to yours! You did well, girl. Hugs, Cindy S

ReplyDeleteNatalie, I got my table at the Pottery Barn Outlet in Ohio! It was a fraction of the one in the catalouge. Find an outlet my table is still in the catalouge and I purchased mine over 6 years ago. I drove 6 hours to get it but so worth it!

ReplyDeleteThis was so easy and looks great. I have a table in the middle of my kitchen that is smallish and I couldn't find anything the right size for it. With my Hobby Lobby coupon the grand total of mine was $3 and I had enough leftover to make an extra to put away for when the kids destroy the first one. Thanks for the great idea.
