Here is the bench I reupholstered.....

I got this bench from my Grandmother because noone else in my family wanted it and if you continue to follow my blog you will  see many, many things in my house that were my Grandmothers, and I am the owner of all them  for that same reason.  I also can't beleive I found a before picture. It is not a good quality picture so I will give you a breif description of what it really looked like in case you can't tell.....Ugly, really Ugly and Fuzzyish! (I know thats not a word) and when I pulled off the material the stuffing underneath was straw, Yuck!

Anyway here it is looking a little better than before and with no straw! So the lesson here is take what your other family members reject..... you might end up with something they envy later!

What a cute bench...I am totally dumb struck that no one else wanted it, but hey....great deal for you!! You did a fantastic job recovering it. Fun blog you have here. I've been enjoying your projects. The kitchen wall is totally fun. I didn't know you could get chalkboard paint tinted. Your tie lamp is also very adorable. Thanks for linking! I hope you come back!

Your Grandmother I'm sure is very pleased that you cherish her heirloom items. Wonderful that you want them, and make them even more special with your own touch of elegance.

Now I need to go check out the rest of your blog!

So glad to see that someone else in blogland likes black furniture like me. I was beginning to think I was the only one without an all white house. Love all of your before and afters, lots of good inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

Take Care, Carrie
