A Red French Wall!

This is a new year, a new beginning and for those of you who know me, know that I am a little very conservative when it comes to wall color.  So this year I am getting out of my comfort zone (Beige) and putting a little punch of color into my kitchen....This is chalkboard paint and I had to have it tinited...and then I knew I wanted to write something on it (obviously) and since I do not know how to write in French I remembered that I had a French Bible.  I grabbed it and thought... What verse? And of course I chose Acts 2:38 and here it is in French on my Kitchen Wall.  The paint was not the easiest to apply since it was red, but it actually turned out better than expected.  Hope you think so too!

I love the red French wall. I just put two chalkboards on my fridge but couldn't paint it cause I am renting. I signed up as a follower. Sure wish you would visit my blogsite and join me too. I am raising a 17 yr. old grandaughter and battling lung cancer but I am drinking from my saucer cause my cup has overflowed!

I love the red wall. I really like the small island in the kitchen. Do you mind me asking if you made the table or not. My kitchen is narrow and not much bigger than a galley kitchen, so I've been trying to figure out how to come up with a small island.

No I didn't make the island it is actually just a side table that was my grandmother's...Goodwill or antique shop would be yor best bet to find one similar...thanks so much for the comment!

Great idea! I think it's just what your kitchen ordered! The shade of red that you used is great!

Absolutely love this idea!! Your kitchen is gorgeous. I'm scrambling around now to see what I can paint with tinted chalkboard paint. (Well..hubs would actually do the painting. LOL He's not going to like you very much after this is all said and done. *Joking*) You chose the perfect scripture too! Seriously, did you draw that bird? You're very talented!

It looks so great! The pop of red really adds some "umph" to an already lovely kitchen. I also love the bird on the branch above the doorway. Very nice work!

Ooooh...love the french-inspired scripture wall! I have to tell you (if you didn't already know) that there is something called "chalk ink" which is chalk in a marker. It easily wipes off with a cloth & water and comes in all sorts of colors. I found mine at Michael's, of course, with a 40% off coupon. The nice thing is that it won't wipe off (like chalk dust) if you rub up against it. It is awesome. I need to post my kitchen cabinet chalkboard on my website soon. ~judi ;)
