Re-do of a Re-do

Remember this?  Maybe not its from and older post.  I purchased this table from my local habitat store and painted it black.  O yes spray painted it, IN MY HOUSE!  Which I do not recommend!  I was cleaning it up for days! Although, it all did come up thanks to the handy dandy MAGIC ERASER!

So, I had some material that, at the time, matched my living room and used it to put a skirt underneath as a side table by my couch.

So it looked like this. And now that I have changed my color scheme in that room, I moved it to my bedroom. And it is much better in there as a nightstand. But the colors did not go!

And remember my FREE chair and pillow covers... Well I was looking for some material similar to this and came across it at WAL-MART! Surprisingly they have several colors not just black.

O yes and it was only around 4$ a yard too! SWEET!

And since the chair and the nightstand are on the opposite sides of the rooms the material matches close enough! Not perfect, but since I'm not inviting Candice Olson over anytime soon I think it will do! Especially for 4$.  O and that is the 14.99 Lamp I purchased at HL complete with light bulbs! 80% off BABY!

And its great for STORAGE.  Especially, for folding up and putting (in a basket) my 10 year old blankie I can't live without at night.  It is not a pretty sight to behold, but O so COMFY!

LaTeR TaTeR!

Your new skirt for the table looks great! Your bedroom must look lovely with both the chair and that sweet table in there. I just have one question. The table appears to only have two legs, if that is true, how does it stand up? Just curious;o)

It does only have 2 legs but it has a back on it so it is supposed to screw to the wall I suppose. But it stands without it so far! I will eventually secure it. And that is another reason it looks better as a nightstand so you dont see the sides! What can I say...it was CHEAP! Thanks for stopping by!

What a great idea! I love the striped ticking fabric you used. I'm always amazed what I can find in the Walmart fabric aisle.

First off...I'm cracking up that you spray painted in the house! I thought I was the only one who would do something like that! Second, I've seen post before about the Habitat Store & looked it up & I have one in my hometown...EXCITED! I may be going today. Third, love what you did with the table...a nightstand. Looks great in your room!

Hugs!

I LOVE that kind of fabric! And even if it doesn't "perfectly match" it still complements it and it looks great!

The table looks great with a skirt. You are adventurous to spray paint in the house ;-). Thanks for sharing at the POPP.

I like the ticking so much better. The other skirt looked really nice, but this one looks fabulous. I love when you makeover a piece, love it, make it over again and love it even more.
