Peapod Green chalkboard nightstand

This nightstand was FREE once again from MOM....I heart her mucho too! She has said I could take this from her for probably over a year, she has had it for more than a decade (it was her mothers) out in her garage, and so I finally took her up on it.

I have a soon to be 6 year old and she is VERY into American Girl sutff, which is taking over.  I tell my hubs all the time that they need a room of their own.

Not sure you can tell but this has a  very big deep drawer and it is great for storage, which I am needing desperately these days.

This is what I used for the top it is tintable chalkboard paint which I have used berfore in my kitchen, just a different color.  The only place I have seen it is Home Depot.

This peapod color just happened to match my daughters bedding perfect!!! I spared you the picture of my happy dance I did!

Add in some white paint and some cute pink knobs I got at Target and this is what you get!

Oh and some CHALK and a  2 year old and this is what you get!

And Mom had a great idea of adding the clock, its a good way for K to understand what time she will be waking up each morning.  Thanks mom for the table and the clock idea...I'm glad you don't have your own blog....you would have to keep these ideas and stuff for yourself!!!

Overall I was pleased with the results and so was my daughter. The hubs who has jokingly called me a HOARDER lately even said it looked GREAT!  Thanks BABE!

This bedside table is adorable, i'm sure just like your little girl! (mine is 23) I do miss those days of sweet colors and fun decor. You have great vision for repurposing & I love the chalkboard top.
I see a framed letter on top of the table that is similar to a post that I did not too long ago. Stop by and take a peek if you'd like ;)

It is so cute! I have been so excited with the variety of chalkboard paint colors available, now, and I must try it out. The table looks perfect in the room. I bet you got the cool mom award for that one!

Wow, that night table looks amazing! You did a great job, your daughter's bedroom is very pretty, so perfect for a little girl. I understand the American doll thing, my daughter has the same problem. The clothing alone has overtaken my granddaughter's walk in closet!;)

I am from the "never paint wood" generation and USUALLY I just CRINGE at all the painted items that get shown around bloggy world. BUT NOT THIS TIME!!! Your nightstand was definitely dated and dowdy before and you gave it a simply fabulous face lift!!!

I love it! Your daughter's room is super cute! I love the flower on the wall and how you have coordinated the pink and green colors. I was thinking of chalkboard painting a WALL in my son's room so he can doodle. I didn't know there were other colors you could choose from other than black. :)
