Burlap Table Runner in under 10 minutes!

I have been looking for a table runner for a while now...with no luck! Nothing has caught my eye or been long enough to fit my table.

And with all the burlap going around Blogland I thought it would make a great table runner and best of all I knew I would NOT have to SEW it!

I had to buy 2 and half yards to fit my table length perfectly which cost me less than 7$ and I have half of it left over!

My table is black so while getting the material at HL I found these cute iron ons that match!

I just cut straight up the middle and started pulling the strings out the sides and bottom to give it a fringed edge, WARNING! This is messy!

And another reason I chose the burlap...it matched my rug and wall color! (insert tiny handclap)Yay me!

Now onto the window treatments...which I am pretty sure won't be Burlap but you never know.  I've seen some really cute ones out there!

And just FYI I found these cuties to hang on my wall behind the table at TJ's!

I am SO MUCH giving this the two thumbs up! I love the look of it, especially with the "H" added. The fact that it's a no sew project, well... that just puts it over the top. It looks really good!

Really great project! I have the burlap and now I just have to get busy! Thanks for the inspiration. Your runner turned out great!

The black iron ons make it perfect! Love it! Suggestion for your curtains...drop cloths. They come in a natural tone & there is a huge amount of fabric in them for cheap! Just fyi, if you decide to go with the drop cloth idea, look for ones that don't have seams in the middle, if you can find them.

I love the burlap runner. I just purchased some burlap for a project. I was surprised at how many colors or shades it comes in.

Your burlap runner looks amazing! And with that monogram on it, it looks very expensive. I was looking at two at an etsy shop today and they cost $60 and $70 and they were similar to yours! You did well, girl. Hugs, Cindy S

Natalie, I got my table at the Pottery Barn Outlet in Ohio! It was a fraction of the one in the catalouge. Find an outlet my table is still in the catalouge and I purchased mine over 6 years ago. I drove 6 hours to get it but so worth it!

Love this!! Now ideas for burlap bags??
I bought 30 for $2 at a yard sale recently. I plan to make some pillows, but not 30 of them...LOL
I would have bought more stacks of them, but a lady sideswiped me to get to the rest of the stacks...I'm still in mourning. Thanks for any suggestions.

O.k., now maybe just maybe, I could do this project without 5 start-overs and 5 trips back to Jo-Anne's for forgotten supplies.

You know, if the stars are lined up just right and I click my ruby red Isotoners three times.

This is such a great example of simple greatness.

First off - AWESOME!!! And thank you for giving me the "finishing touch" on my idea for my upcoming wedding. Second, I see you got the Monogram at Hobby Lobby - is it an iron on or would that ruin the burlap? detail on attaching monogram! THANK YOOOU!

This was so easy and looks great. I have a table in the middle of my kitchen that is smallish and I couldn't find anything the right size for it. With my Hobby Lobby coupon the grand total of mine was $3 and I had enough leftover to make an extra to put away for when the kids destroy the first one. Thanks for the great idea.
